58493 1/10 Mazda RX-7 (M-06
Chassis)
In
March 1978, Mazda Motor
Corporation, the world-renowned
Japanese maker of rotary engine
powered
cars, announced the debut of the
RX-7. The car's body featured a
beautiful form including a
sloped nose with
retractable headlights. The
lightweight chassis was powered
by a front-mid mounted 130hp
Type 12A rotary
engine which had two 573cc rotor
units. Coupled with the front
strut and rear rigid 4-link with
Watt's linkage
suspension system, the car
offered optimal weight
distribution and superb
handling. With these high-spec
features, the RX-7 was
well-received in Japan as well
as overseas markets such as the
United States. This
Japanese impressive sports car
is now reproduced as a 1/10
scale R/C model on the M-06
chassis.
